I was at a council meeting yesterday where councillor Don Paterson referred to an incident of 10 tourists physically accosted at a cafe this week.

I am aware the council and police are working to reduce begging in the city.

Can I please ask how aware RotoruaNZ is of the issue impacting tourist experience?

How are businesses supported in handling the matter?

How many incidents is RotNZ aware of over the busy summer period of tourists being intimidated by beggars?

How has this trended recently?
