Enquiry
*NOTE: this is a follow-up enquiry from enquiry made yesterday
can you please direct me to the specific section/subsection of the act?
What were the actions needing to be carried out? What were the conditions?
Has there been compliance?
Why would residents be told they needed to be moved out? Was the owner told the lodge could stay open, and how?
Can I also please ask when the last time Amber Lodge was used as EH and what it's use is now?
How many residents lived there? (At time of Dec visit?)
What was the lodge consented for?
Response

You would need to ask the property owner/manager.
Was the owner told the lodge could stay open, and how?
A letter was sent to the property owner. It did not direct the premises to close.
Can I also please ask when the last time Amber Lodge was used as EH?
Council does not hold this information. You may need to reach out to the Ministry of Social Development.
What its use is now?
We understand that Amber Lodge is used for longer-term accommodation.

**As part of the work underway in relation to accommodation providers council is investigating historical records for each property to determine the permitted use at the time the business was established.
