Enquiry
I understand the mayor, chief executive and infrastructure general manager met with Craig Elliot and Gregg Brown on Thursday last week regarding the I-Park system.
- Can the council please confirm this and tell me what was discussed in the meeting?
- Is the council/mayor aware of some dissatisfaction with the functionality of the I-Park system?
- How many complaints has the council received about the I-Park system to date?
- What are the main issues with the system?
- What is the council doing to correct the system?
It would be great to have the council speaking to this from an operational standpoint as well as the mayor from a policy standpoint.
Further request:
We're going to publish a story about the meeting and the circumstances leading to it.
We will follow up with any update if there is one tomorrow.
Business leader has expressed his frustrations with the workability of the i-Park system but has made it clear he feels his views have been heard by the mayor, CE and infrastructure manager.
Response
The reporter was advised this would be covered in the CBD parking presentation at the Operations and Monitoring Committee meeting on 5 Feb 2020 and that much of the information sought would be covered at that time. The reporter was advised to send any follow-up questions after the meeting.
