Questions about the intersection of Arawa St and Rangiuru St where there was a fatal crash yesterday morning.
- Have you had any complaints about safety or visibility at that intersection?
- Do you know of any previous crashes at that intersection?
- Has the council looked into any safety improvements there?

Information provided:
Within the past 15 years we have record of two non-injury crashes at that intersection.
We have had no complaints or concerns about visibility other than a bus parked illegally which was subsequently moved on that day
The reporter was also referred to the Police to follow up on crash numbers

- What is the financial relationship between the council and the airport?
- How much money does the council give the airport annually?

From Council's chief financial officer, Thomas Coll:
The airport is a council-controlled organisation and is 100 per cent owned by Council, which sets aside $2.5m per annum as part of the long-term plan.
