Inquiry
could we get an update on the patu? Also, some comment regarding the below.
Te Tatau board member Potaua Biasiny-Tule has offered $500 of his own money as a reward for the patu's return, cash, no questions asked.
He says the treasure is very important and must be returned.
What are the council's, Monty's thoughts about this?.
and one final thing, can we use the council chamber for the photo for this story?
Response
There are no updates about the patu.
Our spokesperson, Monty Morrison, who is designated to comment, is unavailable to do an interview with you today. He's not reachable today.
I've also checked about a photo in the Council Chamber. Work is being carried out near the chamber, which is closed to the public today.
Despite that, you're more than welcome to take a photo outside the council chamber.

Topic: Silver Oaks Hotel
Inquiry
We've now been contacted by a few more people with complaints about the Silver Oaks Resort Heritage in Rotorua as well as a property in Auckland.
I was wondering of the council has received any more complaints about Silver Oaks?
What is the council process if it receives multiple complaints? Does it investigate the property each time?
Response
Response from Compliance Manager Neven Hill -
Council has had no further complaints regarding Silver Oaks Resort Heritage in Rotorua and the follow up inspection is now scheduled for this afternoon instead of next week at the request of the owner.
Any complaints received by council's officers would be assessed and inspections would be carried out at their discretion. In cases where multiple complaints are received in a short period of time, all issues raised may be looked at in one inspection.
