Topic: Community Satisfaction survey
Inquiry
Just wanted to ask a couple of quick questions re the council Community Satisfaction Survey.
Firstly I wanted to ask whether a release date for the results is available?
Can I also confirm the report in the Post that this year's survey will cost $18,500 as opposed to last year's $31,000 and finally, if the cost has been reduced, can you tell me why?
Response
From Chief Executive Geoff Williams:
The survey is not a stand-alone document - it informs part of the organisation's annual reporting, in particular the performance measures, and is normally reported to Council as part of the annual report. This year we will provide a report on 2016/17 performance measures in September, prior to finalisation of the annual report [in October], and the survey will be released to the public at that time.
The cost this year is $18,500 +GST. It was previously $27,000 +GST but is less this year due to a refinement of the survey for current purposes.
