Rural Community Board Devolved Funding
What sorts of things have been funded in the past?
- CCTV cameras
- Playground items for a reserve
- School bus shelters
- Fridges, heat pumps, ovens and furniture for community halls
- Community toilet block
- Defibrillators at community locations
- Picnic tables and benches
Do you have an idea that could benefit your community?
- The project must be within a rural area in the Rotorua District;
- The project must provide local public benefit and be free and open to all members of the community;
- The funding must go towards something that is a council asset.
- The project should align with one or more the board priorities which are: Infrastructure, Civil Defence, Communication, Rural Safety, Community Halls.
Who can apply?
Anyone from our local rural communities.
Please note any funding allocated will not go directly to a community member or group, it will be administered by council staff.
When the Board reviews the applications, you may be asked to come and speak at a meeting to share the idea or project that you would like funded.
